About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist (Masters) to join our Adult Mental Health & Addictions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
  • A minimum of two years' clinical experience working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
  • Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem solve, and utilize good judgment in decision making
  • Commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
  • Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
Hours

This is a permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $37.31 - $49.05, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan.
