Psychologist (Masters) Adult Mental Health & Addictions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist (Masters) to join our team in the Adult Mental Health & Addictions department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with a minimum of two years' experience working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of clinical care pathways.

About You- Successful completion of Masters in Psychology
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience required working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions
- Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders, and commitment to same
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways, and commitment to same
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical supervision, learning and professional development, and commitment to same
- Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem solve and utilize good judgment in decision making
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical supervision, learning and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain personal health and to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent Full-time Position, 75 Hours bi-weekly
$37.31 - $49.05 Hourly
