Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at Denny's Fort St John. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food and beverage experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods to ensure accurate and efficient service.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile and a positive attitude.
  • Inventory Management
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet customer needs.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with the food service team to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
    • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
    • Positive attitude and initiative.
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Physically demanding with standing for extended periods.
