About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Denny's Fort St John. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Preparation: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and provide a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure adequate supplies and maintain a well-organized kitchen.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
