About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at Denny's Fort St John. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food and beverage experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to order, ensuring consistency and quality.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Inventory and Stock Management
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with the food service team to maintain a high level of service and quality.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Reliability, dependability, and a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
