About the Role:
PRT Growing Services Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the Grower 2 position at our Campbell River nursery. As a key member of our team, you will assist with the production of high-quality forest seedling crops by applying effective forest nursery practices and principles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of nursery facilities and equipment.
- Operate computerized and other control systems to ensure efficient crop production.
- Follow a company-directed Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for pesticide application.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and evaluate achievement.
- Provide basic maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of greenhouse equipment and climate control systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Great organizational and record-keeping skills.
