Job Title: Human Resources Advisor, Wellness, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our HR Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that promote employee wellness and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven HR practitioner who is passionate about advancing wellness and EDI in the workplace. You will work closely with management, champions, grassroots organizations, HR practitioners, and other service providers to advance workforce and workplace EDI goals. Your expertise will be essential in designing and developing programs, tools, and approaches to promote a psychologically healthy workplace and support employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and functional advice on employment-related policies, programs, and initiatives to support employee wellness and EDI.
  • Implement employment and workplace-focused strategies, programs, training, and approaches to advance EDI and wellness.
  • Design and develop programs, tools, and approaches for broader roll-out and use by various stakeholders.
  • Transfer knowledge to others, including HR practitioners, other service providers, and management.
  • Collaborate with management, champions, and grassroots organizations to advance workforce and workplace EDI goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the work to be performed.
  • Experience in human resources management, including providing strategic and functional advice on employment-related policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Experience implementing employment and workplace-focused strategies, programs, training, and approaches to advance EDI and wellness.
  • Experience designing and developing programs, tools, and approaches for broader roll-out and use by various stakeholders.
  • Experience transferring knowledge to others, including HR practitioners, other service providers, and management.
