Your Opportunity:

This position has been identified as a key role in the transition to Recovery Alberta. As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide leadership through a wide variety of nursing services, teaching, counseling, and advocating on behalf of patients. You will ensure their safety and well-being, providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care, while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership through nursing services to promote, maintain, or restore health, mental health, and prevent mental illness, injury, and disability.
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
