Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
- Hire and train food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize kitchen operations.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure efficient kitchen workflow.
- Develop knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres to provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
- Establish work schedules to meet the demands of our restaurant.
- 3-4 years of experience in a food service establishment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, withstanding wet and hot conditions.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
