Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wikwemikong Nursing Home. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist physiotherapists in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for residents.
- Implement treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
- Monitor and record resident progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Provide support with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- College diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or a related health science).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physiotherapy or occupational therapy department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
