Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wikwemikong Nursing Home. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physiotherapists in conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing rehabilitation services to residents. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physiotherapists in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Provide rehabilitation services to residents, including exercises and activities to promote mobility and independence
  • Work closely with healthcare team to ensure seamless care and support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of resident progress
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in physiotherapy or rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-paced environment
