Psychologist - Acquired Brain Injury Services

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our Acquired Brain Injury Services (ABI) team. As a Psychologist, you will provide a full range of psychological services to clients with Acquired Brain Injury, including assessment, treatment, and program development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive oral and/or written assessments of client functioning, including intellectual, neurocognitive, emotional, personality, psychopathology, interests, and aptitudes.
- Develop and implement rehabilitative treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct neurocognitive assessments for individuals with mild to severe brain injuries.
- Provide individual and group treatment interventions for challenging personality traits post-injury.
- Develop and manage psychological services for the Acquired Brain Injury program, including clinical and administrative expertise.
- Consult with colleagues on assessment and treatment issues, and lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary service interventions.
- Participate in team meetings and decision-making processes.
- Maintain confidential client clinical records and produce timely and accurate reports.
- Participate in educational programs on therapeutic and assessment techniques.
- Initiate and carry out program evaluation and research work.
- Supervise psychology students, interns, or other psychologists, as required.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, including relevant coursework, training, and clinical supervision in assessment/testing and intervention.
Two (2) years' recent related experience in neurocognitive assessment and administration and interpretation of neurocognitive assessments.
Experience working with rehabilitation interventions, multidisciplinary teamwork, and complex care clients, and experience working with individuals with an acquired brain injury within a clinical or supportive setting.
Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based ABI rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated research skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmental theories, family and social dynamics, treatment and behavior management modalities, and psychological testing and interpretation.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive written assessments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of the service delivery systems at the local, regional, and provincial level.
- Demonstrated ability in implementing policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal effectively with others.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
