Patient Flow Manager

The Patient Flow Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of patients through the hospital system at Southlake Regional Health Centre. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize patient flow, reducing bottlenecks, and improving bed utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize patient flow across all hospital departments.
- Analyze patient flow data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the centralized prioritization and placement of patients based on bed availability, patient acuity, and staffing resources.
- Facilitate the coordination of patient transitions between levels of care, departments, and external facilities.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives related to patient flow, bed management, and transitions.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
- Five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Three years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, project management, and data analysis in a healthcare setting is an asset.
