Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Engineer to join our team at JRS Engineering. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, producing reports, and undertaking design work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations and produce detailed reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews.
  • Develop and implement building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents, and applying knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes.
  • Assist with third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
  • Conduct field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects.
  • Assist with and conduct window tests, air leakage tests, and other field testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
  • 1 to 4 years of work experience in building science or construction.
