Job Title: Building Science Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Engineer to join our team at JRS Engineering. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, producing reports, and undertaking design work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare written reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews.
  • Assist with developing building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents.
  • Apply knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
  • Conduct field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
  • ~1 to 4 years of work experience in building science or construction.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights, including climbing ladders and working on swing stages and scaffolding.
