## Job Title: Building Science Engineer

## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Engineer to join our team at JRS Engineering. As an EIT, you will play a key role in conducting investigations, producing reports, and undertaking design work on various projects. Your expertise in building envelope design and construction will be essential in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

## Key Responsibilities

* Conduct investigations and produce reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews
* Assist in developing building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents
* Apply knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes
* Assist with third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects
* Conduct field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects

## Requirements

* Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC
* 1-4 years of work experience in building science or construction
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work at heights, including climbing ladders and working on swing stages and scaffolding
