We are seeking a Support Specialist to join our team on a casual basis. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, education assistants, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as education, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
