About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Earls Restaurant (Grande Prairie) Ltd. as an Executive Chef Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for guests on a regular basis, as well as for special events and functions
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner to avoid stockouts
- Train new staff members in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting
- Able to work 36-40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands
This role requires working in a physically demanding environment, with frequent standing, lifting, and bending. Additionally, the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
Compensation:The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
