Regulatory Affairs Director for North American Cosmetics

Lush is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This 18-month full-time contract role will play an essential part in growing talent within the business and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years' experience in the Regulatory Affairs functions of a Food/Cosmetic/Natural Health Product company, with at least 3-5 years of management experience. They will possess extensive knowledge of operations in North American regulatory environments and be able to navigate stakeholder relationships while navigating regulatory requirements for new and unique cosmetic inventions.

As a key member of the team, the Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing regulatory audits and submissions, providing growth and development opportunities to a diverse team, and overseeing all product commercialization initiatives from a regulatory affairs perspective.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

This hybrid role requires 2-3 days/week onsite in Toronto, Ontario or surrounding areas. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada or obtain an appropriate working visa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage regulatory audits and submissions, including licenses, permits, and related documentation to Health Canada, U.FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provide growth and development opportunities to a diverse team.
  • Oversee all product commercialization initiatives from a regulatory affairs perspective.
  • Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging domestic and global regulatory trends, laws, and guidance documents.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with counterparts to inform business decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years industry experience in Regulatory Affairs functions.
  • At least 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations in North American regulatory environments.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholder relationships while navigating regulatory requirements.
