Job Summary

The RPN will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being. The ideal candidate will have excellent assessment skills, effective communication strategies, and a strong commitment to person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide total care to a group of residents within a Primary Nursing care delivery model.
  • Support the philosophy of Patient-Focused Care and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Person-Centered Care approach and principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Long-Term Care, preferably in a cognitive support environment.
  • Excellent assessment skills, including the ability to identify and address the unique needs of residents with dementia.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare colleagues.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $74,000 - $94,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health and dental coverage, pension plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
