D2L, a cloud company modernizing education and building the Future of Work, seeks an aspiring researcher to join its User Experience Research team.

About the Role

This co-op position involves planning and conducting research on UX design projects that directly impact the experience of millions of users worldwide. The successful candidate will gain a deep understanding of the problems users face and help others develop empathy to create a product that is easy, flexible, and smart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in experimental design processes to inform product initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Product Designers and Product Managers to ensure user needs are met
  • Facilitate moderated UX research studies to gather valuable insights
  • Lead research operations efforts for studies, including recruitment, tools, and materials
  • Assist with data analysis, including qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Communicate research findings to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Contribute to team meetings and support the growth of colleagues
Requirements
  • Completed at least one research methods course
  • Experience with research design and controlled data collection
  • Experience recruiting and testing participants
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Basic computer literacy
Education and Experience

Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Psychology or a related field with the Co-op option.
