Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
About the Job:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Support Specialist to join our team at the Early Years Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to infants and toddlers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs to promote children's development and learning.
- Support housekeeping and cooking duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for children.
- Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention.
- Maintain daycare equipment and supplies to ensure they are clean and functional.
- Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote creativity and learning.
- Encourage children's social and emotional development through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- Guide children in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Submit written observations on children to help us understand their needs and progress.
- Attend staff meetings to stay informed about center policies and procedures.
- Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to provide comprehensive support to children and families.
- Plan and maintain a safe environment for children, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
Required Certifications:
- Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
Work Conditions:
- The role is physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
