- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and direct the activities of food service staff, ensuring that tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain quality control standards for food and service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address Customer Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly to customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Accurately record and maintain inventory levels, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Compile and submit regular reports on operations, sales, and customer feedback to management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Site Environment: Fast-paced environment with exposure to odours and hot temperatures.
- Work Setting: Cafeteria environment with a focus on food preparation and service.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, supervise and coordinate activities of staff, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensure quality control standards, address customer complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, walking, physically demanding.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months, permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week, English language.
