Job Title: Director, R&D

Riverside Natural Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research and Development to lead our R&D function. As a key member of our Technical Design team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and product development, ensuring the quality and safety of our products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the R&D function, including the development of new products, processes, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Innovation Team to identify opportunities for innovation and product development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing, quality, and other functional areas.
  • Develop and maintain project records, including successes and failures.
  • Attend trade shows and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the food industry.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in CPG leadership roles in Research and Development.
  • Undergraduate degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality, or other technical functions is a plus.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
