About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at BURMA STAR INC. as a Pastry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and breads for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, and breads according to recipes and customer orders
  • Train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Ensure the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Dependability, judgement, and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
Working Conditions
