Our dynamic team is currently recruiting for a Food and Beverage Operations Manager The Restaurant Manager oversees all aspects of the front-of-house F&B experience for the Humble Donkey Coffee Shop, bar, and lounge, including coordinating service and social functions. This role assists clients with executing their property experiences and oversees food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional dining experiences.

This position requires effective communication and collaboration with hotel leadership teams and departmental teams while sharing design flair.

Key Responsibilities

The Food and Beverage Operations Manager will:

  • Lead the front of house food & beverage operation, including Banquets and Outlets
  • Ensure the hotel restaurant and bar provide exceptional service for all meal periods
  • Execute banquet events according to the banquet event order and meet client needs
  • Drive a performance-driven culture through recognition, training, and coaching
  • Develop, train, communicate, and reinforce service vision and standards to team members
  • Provide a positive work environment, counsel team members as needed, and display professional management skills
  • Prepare weekly schedules to meet operational needs while managing labor costs
  • Develop and implement operating standards for the Restaurant and Banquet teams
  • Resolve guest concerns/complaints to deliver the brand promise
  • Empower team members to provide aligned services that create exceptional experiences
  • Consult with supporting departments for seamless guest experiences
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a Food & Beverage leader, preferably in a full-service hotel environment
  • University or College diploma in Hospitality is an asset
  • Effective training and leadership style to develop motivated teams
  • Proven experience leading large functions
  • Unionized environment experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Organized, results-driven, and time-management skills under pressure
  • Proven motivation and inspiration of high-performing teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, maintaining composure with guests and team members

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: Downtown Toronto
