Job Title: Sr. Director, Corporate Finance

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Sr. Director, Corporate Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the strategic direction of the operational accounting team.
  • Lead transformation activities relating to department processes and procedures, suggesting improvements.
  • Conduct final sign-off of financial reporting packages sent to the parent company.
  • Oversee tax and treasury functions, suggesting opportunities for improvement.
  • Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance.
  • Manage the operating procedures of the department.
  • Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention.
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of corporate, operational accounting experience, ideally in the service industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Expert understanding of finance and accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • MBA or CPA is required.
  • Very detail-oriented and expert analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with significant transformation activities or major process improvement initiatives in operational accounting desired.
