Key Responsibilities:

As a Control Technician at Régulvar, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our advanced systems. Your diagnostic prowess and drive for operational excellence will be essential in this role.

  • Test and verify the quality of controls installations
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of detection and actuation devices
  • Complete programming of digital control systems
  • Perform system and equipment start-ups and complete related documentation
  • Tune PID loop
  • Make GUI modifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment and determine corrective actions
  • Install and terminate control devices, such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and relays
  • Provide training to clients

Requirements:

  • College diploma in Instrumentation and automation, Electronics, or building mechanical systems or a university diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Knowledge in general-purpose programming languages (BASIC, C++, GCL)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Access to a vehicle
  • No criminal record
  • Experience with Building Automation System

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of HVAC
  • Knowledge of BACnet protocol
  • Knowledge of computer and telecommunication networks
  • Valid health and safety trainings: WHMIS, working at heights, locks and tags, Arc flash awareness
