Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Hire food service staff and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef.
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise a team of 3-4 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Permanent employment with 37.5 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
