Venor Talent partners with Harbour Construction Company Limited to seek a seasoned Construction Estimator for their dynamic team. With over 70 years of experience in civil construction, Harbour Construction has built a reputation for strong relationships and respect for clients, employees, and suppliers.

The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in providing accurate estimates for complex projects in Heavy Civil Construction, including Site Development, Municipal Water & Sewer, Hydro Infrastructure, Highway Structure, Bridge Construction, and Construction/Rehabilitation.

  1. Develop detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, focusing on earthworks, underground pipework, road construction, and infrastructure developments.
  2. Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to create comprehensive estimates.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather relevant data and insights for accurate pricing.
  4. Perform post-bid evaluations and revisions as needed, maintaining open communication with the project team.
  5. Nurture strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  6. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations to ensure a thorough understanding of the project scope.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, new developments, cost data, and innovations to enhance estimating accuracy and project success.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in civil construction estimating, preferably in bidding underground pipework projects.
  2. Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent related experience).
  3. Demonstrated expertise in estimating for all company projects from start to finish, including tender sourcing, requirements analysis, and submission processing.
  4. Excellent understanding of local construction practices and technical requirements for civil construction projects.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of construction costs, contract documents, and construction processes.
  6. Proficient technology skills with civil construction estimating software.
  7. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
