About the Role

At BGIS, we're seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our facility management operations, you'll play a crucial role in scheduling and dispatching preventative maintenance and on-demand work orders to our technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute daily schedules for technicians, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Support facility management operations projects by planning and scheduling technicians to project work.
  • Receive and document service requests from the call center, assessing and assigning priority to work orders.
  • Review service request requirements and assign work orders to the appropriate technician based on factors such as skill set, location, security clearance, and availability.
  • Monitor and follow up on work order progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare reports to assist in monitoring work orders and resource planning.
  • Review technician utilization and reassign work orders to ensure optimal utilization of all technician resources.
Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with 1-3 years of dispatch, scheduling, or customer service work experience. Bilingual skills in English and French are a must. You should be able to work well under pressure, prioritize work orders, and allocate tasks to result in optimal human resource utilization.

Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and the ability to quickly learn service management databases are essential. Strong customer service orientation, communication skills, and a sense of urgency are also required.

Previous work experience within the facility management services organization is an asset.
