We're seeking an exceptional Manager, Digital Design & Brand Creative to join our Experience Design team at Capital One Canada. This Manager will own our marketing design process from conception to execution, including creating the design strategy of all our marketing assets.

As a key member of our XD team, you'll be responsible for designing and executing for various asset deliverables (digital and some print) for marketing campaigns. You'll work closely with our marketing team on a test and learn strategy to understand and optimize the impact of Capital One's brand designs to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a process playbook focused on leveraging scalability to drive efficiency that effectively manages the design pipeline of multiple, concurrent projects to meet deadlines and drive elevated and engaging on-brand results for our marketing team
  • Managing the design function to deliver a wide variety of visual assets from campaign creative direction, blog images, video direction, social media, etc.
  • Managing, growing and leading a team of junior designers to unlock scale for design while establishing best practices that include managing design functions
  • Staying connected to industry trends, competitor, and external partners to ensure we are constantly learning and innovating

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts/Graphic Design, Marketing, or other related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in creative direction and marketing communications, with a deep understanding and passion for elevated visual design
  • 3+ years of proven team management experience, including the ability to motivate, exhibit flexibility, prioritize, attend to detail, solve problems, make decisions, manage time, adapt to change, and remain calm and positive under pressure
