About the Role

American Iron and Metals (AIM) is seeking a skilled Ferrous Receiver to join its team at the AIM Recycling site in Amos. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth reception and shipment of Non-Ferrous metals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect customer metals, ensuring accurate identification and quality validation
  • Unload customer vehicles and sort metals according to their characteristics
  • Operate machinery, including loaders and forklifts, to facilitate efficient material handling
  • Assist with torch cutting as needed and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in metal recycling
  • Knowledge of metal recycling processes and procedures
  • Experience operating a forklift and loader is an asset
