Job Summary
American Iron & Metal is seeking a skilled Ferrous Receiver to join our team at our AIM Recycling site in Amos. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient reception and shipment of Non-Ferrous metals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and unload their vehicles in a timely and professional manner.
- Sort and inspect metals to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Operate various types of machinery, including loaders and forklifts, to facilitate the metal sorting process.
- Assist with torch cutting as needed to prepare metals for processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the metal recycling industry.
- Knowledge of metal recycling processes and procedures.
- Experience operating a forklift and loader is an asset.
