Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

MEHFIL BAR AND GRILL is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment:

Our kitchen and dining areas are fast-paced environments, requiring staff to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
