Medical Imaging Specialist

Wellington Health Care Alliance (WHCA) is seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our talented Diagnostic Imaging department team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
We are offering a competitive salary range of $41.64-$48.72 per hour for this regular part-time position. If you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are able to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders, and possess a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting demands, we encourage you to apply.
About the RoleThis role involves working in the Diagnostic Imaging Departments at North Wellington Health Care sites, Louise Marshall Hospital and Palmerston and District Hospital. The home site for this position will be Louise Marshall Hospital. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for using your knowledge and skill to provide quality care to patients, participating in the WHCA mission, and adhering to our five core values: Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, Compassion, and Kindness.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
- Contribute to the success of the Diagnostic Imaging department and the organization as a whole.
- Mentor students attending school placements at our hospital who are on their healthcare profession journey.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A CMRITO Designation.
- Membership with CAMRT.
- OAMRT (asset to have).
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
- Demonstrated effective communications, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Have satisfactory performance and attendance.
- Provide satisfactory reference checks prior to start date.
- Provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired.
