School Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our Health Centre team at Branksome Hall. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to our students, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and collaborating with our faculty and staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and care for students with illnesses and injuries, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Liaise with administration, teachers, and parents/guardians to ensure seamless communication and support for students.
- Assist in promoting and organizing health-related initiatives, such as the annual Flu Clinic, to support the well-being of our students and staff.
- Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy habits, self-esteem, and mental health among our students.
- Collaborate with our social worker to provide counseling and support services to students as needed.
- Participate in communicable illness response protocols and liaise with public health authorities as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records, ensuring confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in Ontario.
- 2-3 years of nursing experience, including experience working with children and adolescents.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in healthcare, with a focus on promoting the well-being of young girls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a keen sense of judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
