Key Responsibilities- Student Support: Provide proactive, student-focused support to students seeking academic guidance, handling each interaction professionally, effectively, and empathetically.
- Triage and Resolution: Triage the nature and complexity of inquiries, determine action to be taken, and advise stakeholders as appropriate.
- Policy and Procedure: Interpret and apply regulations, procedures, and policies for students, including enrollment, transfer, appeal processes, course requisites, and admissions.
- Communication: Deliver immediate support to students in distress, follow up with appropriate referrals, and ensure that all information posted or available for distribution to students is up-to-date.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Manage course scheduling and classroom allocation, monitor the Schedule of Classes, and solve problems and recommend solutions.
- Event Planning: Book and organize meetings and special events related to advising, including advisor meetings, orientation lunch, Study Abroad sessions, onboarding events, exchange events, and Co-op information sessions.
- Program Support: Provide organizational and logistical support for the GBDA Internship and Co-op recruitment cycles, including administering and communicating processes, procedures, and programs led by CECA and WatPD Office.
- Education: Undergraduate degree or combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a front-line customer service-facing role, preferably in an academic setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
