Position Overview

The BC Public Service Agency seeks a highly skilled and experienced Professional Forester to lead our Engineering team in the design and management of road and bridge projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, developing and managing contracts and budgets, and interacting with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team of engineers in the planning and management of road and bridge projects

- Oversee and approve departmental activities, develop and manage contracts and budgets

- Interact with the public, First Nation partners, and various interested parties

Requirements

- Degree or diploma in forest engineering, forest management, or equivalent related field

- Three years of experience in road, bridge, and major structures design, construction, and maintenance

- Registration with the Forest Professionals BC (FPBC) as a Registered Professional Forester, or eligibility for registration

- Experience in contract and project management, managing complex road and bridge construction projects

- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

- Supervisory experience

- Budget management or financial administration experience
