Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

  • Hiring, training, and mentoring direct reports to ensure they excel in their positions.
  • Communicating grade reporting timelines and ensuring instructors submit grades on schedule to maintain academic integrity.
  • Evaluating and enforcing compliance with policies and procedures related to program delivery, adhering to the Quality Assurance Framework.
  • Collaborating with Academic Services to support Program Coordinators and Instructors involved in curriculum development projects.
  • Maintaining awareness of student needs, ensuring programs follow established course sequences and exam timetables, and guaranteeing graduates meet corporate standards.
  • Conducting quality assurance surveys and spot-checking classroom satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
  • Authorizing student terminations and dismissals according to established policies and procedures.
  • Managing instructor scheduling and professional development to optimize teaching effectiveness.
  • Reviewing quality assurance surveys and implementing corrective actions or improvements as needed.
  • Planning and facilitating onboarding activities for new instructors to ensure seamless integration into the team.
  • Fostering positive working relationships and regular communication with international student education partners.
  • Collaborating with Employment Specialists and management to develop employer contacts and secure internship placements for graduates.
  • Recommending and implementing systems, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leading and facilitating new student orientation events and activities to promote a welcoming environment.
  • Ensuring effective capital budget allocation to refresh classroom equipment and maintain an optimal learning environment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A post-secondary degree in education, business, or technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a comparable educational setting.
  • Knowledge of instructional techniques, with teaching experience being an asset.
  • Understanding of educational delivery to international students.
  • Awareness of government regulatory climate in Ontario regarding education.
  • Experience working with sales and customer service issues.
  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and financial statements.
  • Extensive skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language proficiency.
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for occasional travel within the Greater Toronto Area.
