About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Finance to join our team at Algoma University. As a Professor of Finance, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of finance, as well as contributing to the development of our finance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Teach finance courses to undergraduate and graduate students, including principles of finance, corporate finance, and investments.
  • Course Development: Develop and update finance courses to ensure they are relevant and engaging for students.
  • Research and Publication: Conduct research in finance and publish papers in reputable academic journals.
  • Service to the University: Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and advising students.
Requirements
  • Education: Earned doctorate degree in finance or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in teaching and research in finance.
  • Skills: Strong teaching and communication skills, as well as expertise in finance and research.
