We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Professor of Finance to join our team at Algoma University. As a Professor of Finance, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of finance, as well as contributing to the development of our academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Research
- Develop and deliver courses in finance, including financial management, corporate finance, and investments
- Conduct research in finance and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals
- Supervise student research projects and theses
- Service and Community Engagement
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and curriculum development
- Engage with the local business community through outreach and consulting activities
- Professional Development
- Stay current with developments in finance and related fields through ongoing professional development
- Participate in conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices in teaching and research
- Education
- Ph.D. in Finance or a related field
- Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in teaching and research in finance
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Strong research and publication record
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
