BlackBerry QNX, a leading provider of safe and secure operating systems, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Cybersecurity Manager to join their team.

We are the embedded experts, with a trusted foundation software portfolio that includes our deterministic microkernel real-time operating system (RTOS), safety-certified products, middleware and security solutions, all purpose-built for embedded systems.

Our software is trusted by over 24 of the top 25 EV manufacturers and runs in more than 235 million vehicles globally. We offer a broad range of board support packages, professional services, AUTOSAR adaptive support and middleware solutions to accelerate development and help OEMs meet Start of Production (SOP) dates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive vulnerability management, ensuring timely communication of details and urgency to stakeholders.
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance and support to product teams, ensuring compliance with ISO 21434.
  • Conduct research projects and in-depth vulnerability analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders on product security matters.
  • Lead Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) efforts in accordance with ISO 21434.
  • Collaborate with development teams and project managers to resolve security incidents efficiently.
  • Perform reviews and verification of ISO 21434 work products.
  • Assist and advise development teams on security testing activities.
  • Continuously identify standards compliance gaps and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 21434 and/or UNECE WP.29 R155 is preferred.
  • Experience working within a product security team.
  • C/C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
