Job Title: Horticulture Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture Labourer to join our team at Van Luyk Greenhouses and Garden Centre. As a Horticulture Labourer, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of our plants, greenhouses, and garden centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greenhouse cleaning and maintenance
  • Mixing and applying fertilizers
  • Weeding and pruning plants
  • Mixing and preparing soils
  • Planting bulbs and seeds
  • Potting and repotting plants
  • Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Cleaning work areas
Work Environment:

As a Horticulture Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. You will also be exposed to wet/damp conditions, odours, and hot temperatures.

Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in horticulture or a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reliability and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
