About the Role

CIMA+ is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project types, including mixed-use buildings, tenant improvement renovations, and equipment replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Modeling: Assist in the design, modeling, and drafting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems, using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Design Calculations: Assist with design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
  • Implementation: Assist with implementing redline markups from engineers.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Assist in report writing and budget costing.
  • Coordination: Assist with coordination with electrical engineering staff.
  • Site Visits: Participate in occasional site visits to survey existing conditions, and to document ongoing construction.
Qualifications
  • Student, presently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology program in Mechanical or Buildings Engineering.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems.
  • A desire to learn and continually develop.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Interest in working and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Valid driver's licence.
Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
