Claims Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Claims Advisor to join our team in Montreal. As a Claims Advisor, you will be responsible for processing clients' claims by reviewing relevant policies, investigating losses, and reporting losses to the insurer.
Key Responsibilities:- Review relevant policy and report loss to the insurer upon notification of a new claim.
- Settle and manage claims below the insured's deductible.
- Investigate cause of the loss.
- Confirm coverages included in insurance policy.
- Review all claims documentation.
- Estimate damages and losses suffered to settle the claim, appoint vendors as necessary.
- Conduct claims and coverage analysis, recommend solutions to coverage issues.
- Negotiate payments and reimbursements with the insurers on the client's behalf.
- Update the client on the status of the claim as required.
- Enter and maintain current and accurate information in our electronic file system.
- Maintain current and accurate files and documentation for each claim.
- Prepare and update loss bordereaux.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with adjusters, insurers, and suppliers.
- Conduct monthly meetings with clients to provide updates on active claims.
- Minimum three years' experience in the insurance industry.
- A claims adjuster's license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
- Experience in handling small and medium-sized enterprises claims.
- Excellent knowledge of coverage and good analytical skills.
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
