Expert Claims Advisor

As a Claims Advisor at Desjardins, you will play a key role in serving and maintaining business relationships with members and clients for all claims. Your expertise will be essential in handling high-complexity property insurance claims and medium-complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims. You will investigate and approve claims, using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge to develop solutions and negotiate claims settlements. Your ability to advise and assist clients, represent Desjardins, and enter into agreements with clients will be crucial. Interpersonal savvy is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs, and market value, and producing and reviewing reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts.
- Analyzing medical, financial, and job information to determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria.
- Settling claims in accordance with Desjardins' standards, policies, and quality commitments, as well as contract terms. Meeting deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties.
- Negotiating with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing.

What you bring to the table:
- General college diploma in a related field.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Personal claims adjuster's licence.
- Knowledge of French is required.
- Available for travel in the Montreal region.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle, a company car will be provided.
