About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations and Reporting Manager to join our team in Calgary, AB. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operational service level of the front office, addressing stakeholders' needs, and contributing to the compilation of financial results.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the front office operations, maintaining high-quality service levels and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to sustain excellent service delivery to internal and external users.
  • Support the preparation of financial period closing, budget, forecast, and reporting processes, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, including ad-hoc requests, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide cross-coverage of operational service functions, enhancing internal synergy and knowledge base.
  • Liaise with the firm-wide Finance Team, providing information and source documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Accounting degree or diploma, preferably with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the Accounting field.
  • Experience in the Legal field is an asset, particularly with Trust Accounts.
  • Strong computer and technology knowledge, including Excel, ERP, workflows, Smartsheets, and Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • A self-directed and proactive approach, with a customer focus mindset.
