Engineering Project Coordinator Specialist

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to support medium to large scale engineering and construction projects. This person will be responsible for coordinating projects of diverse nature and providing support for clients in the execution of their most ambitious undertakings.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Carrying out multidisciplinary coordination and follow-up with our clients in the realization of special large-scale projects.
  2. Ability to engage with field presence and good communication skills with construction personnel.
  3. Proactively contributing to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects.
  4. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
  5. Identifying and monitoring issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones.
  6. Liaising with clients, governments, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders to guide projects through the approval processes and effective information exchange.
  7. Performing various cost/budget studies and research assignments, requiring analysis and interpretation of data.
  8. Monitoring progress and performance against established terms of reference and Work Plans.
  9. Preparing, coordinating, and reviewing contracts, Work Plans, reports, and documents. Obtaining signoffs as required.
  10. Preparing PPT for clients and internal stakeholders for summary of projects.
  11. Managing the process of calls for tenders, awarding and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts.
  12. Assembling and delivering construction contracts and professional scopes of work.

Requirements:

  • University Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience on engineering design ICI design and construction projects
  • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical specifications
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional initiative and attention to detail
  • Skills in work organization, priority management, and an interest in teamwork in an environment that can change direction quickly
  • Proficiency in project management software, including P6 Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects (asset)
  • Sound professional judgment, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and dynamic environment
  • Ability to successfully and collaboratively work within a team environment and across disciplines as well as work independently
  • PMP or LEED certification (asset)
  • Experience with managing multi-discipline designs and construction projects (asset)
  • Experience in bidding/negotiating contracts & developing strong career partnerships as well as business development skills (asset)

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 to $85,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
