Job Description

At 30 Forensic Engineering, we are seeking a talented Transportation Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of our company.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in transportation engineering, including experience with road safety programs, network screening, and collision modification factors. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing skills and be able to communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior staff in managing and maintaining growing transportation safety, engineering, and planning market across Canada.
  • Perform in-depth safety investigations for post collisions/incidents and proactive safety or vision zero approach for potential improvement to existing or future facilities.
  • Participate in transportation planning projects, including writing technical memos or reports, participating in public engagement sessions, coordination and tracking or achieving project milestones.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of technical drawings and simulations from field measurements, sketches, technical calculations, and other data.
Requirements
  • Hold, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation engineering (post Graduate degree is preferred).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience (or post graduate degree) working in a transportation engineering environment, preferably in the area of transportation safety, engineering and planning and in a consulting environment in Canada or outside of Canada.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of prevailing transportation guidelines, standards, and regulations including, but not limited to, the Ontario Traffic Manuals, Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Geometric Design Guide for Canadian Roads, HTA, and other TAC and Ministry of Transportation publications.
